OnePlus 12 Launch Date Finally Confirmed as the Company Plans to Celebrate a Decade in the Market

OnePlus has finally confirmed the release date of the upcoming OnePlus 12. However, as expected, the phone will first launch in China, followed by a global launch next year. This makes sense as this is the same strategy the company has been using for some time.

The OnePlus 12 launches on December 4th, 2023, in China, with a global release date in Q1 of 2024

Based on a confirmation post on Weibo, the OnePlus 12 will be launching on December 4th, 2023. The phone's announcement is going to highlight the company's tenth anniversary. Carl Pei and Pete Lau founded OnePlus back in December 2013, and it has been a long road full of ups and downs for the company, but it appears that we are definitely getting a phone that is going to be good.

Now, as far as the official global release date is concerned, the company has not confirmed that at the time of writing, but we have a feeling that the OnePlus 12 is going to launch globally in January, but this could, of course, change based on the company's plans.

As for the specs, the OnePlus 12 will offer a number of specs improvements. The most obvious one is going to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but you are also getting a new primary camera and a 64-megapixel camera system. The phone is going to have a 2K resolution display that is being dubbed "ProXDR," and the display could deliver up to 3,000 nits peak brightness. So, I am really looking forward to seeing how that works. The phone will also be powered by a 5,400 mAh battery, with up to 100W charging speed, but that could vary based on region.

Based on everything we have heard about the OnePlus 12 so far, it appears that the phone will be OnePlus' return to form. The OnePlus Open was a great phone, and this year's OnePlus 11 did show promise. So, there are a lot of expectations riding on the upcoming flagship, and I am really hoping that the company delivers a truly exceptional device because the competition right now is tougher than ever.
