Despite starting off as a company that aimed to deliver flagship specs at half the price, OnePlus fell victim to the tradition and started raising its prices, as well. Still, the phones that it delivers do not cost a lot of money when compared to the likes of Samsung and Apple. Today, we have the international pricing for both the OnePlus 12 and 12R, and honestly, things are looking a bit better.
Both the OnePlus 12 and 12R are going to bring excellent value for money in the international markets
The OnePlus 12 is already a pretty powerful phone in terms of the specs. It has an IP rating, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, wireless charging, and improved camera systems. All of this combined makes the phone a stellar option for anyone who wants a flagship, but at the same time, this hints that there might be a price increase. Now, a report suggests that the phone is going to debut for $799 for the base variant, which is still more expensive than the OnePlus 11 but cheaper than the OnePlus 10 Pro that launched at $899.
If you are looking for a more affordable OnePlus 12R, then the good news is that the phone is going to retail for $499. This is an incredible price tag, given the fact that the phone is going to bring some really amazing camera systems as well as Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The older chipset and the lack of a telephoto sensor might be a letdown for some people, but honestly, the Sony IMX890 primary sensor is more than capable of delivering stellar performance. Again, this pricing is for the base variant, and if you want to go for a more expensive variant, you are going to have to spend more money.
Honestly, I am really looking forward to both the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R. Considering how the OPPO Find X7 Ultra will not be launching in the global market, these phones should be able to fill some sort of a gap. The phones are going to be announced in the global market on January 23rd, later this month. We will keep you posted as we learn more about the devices.
