NVIDIA apparently seems to be expanding its budget GPU offerings, as ZOTAC has mentioned an RTX 5050 Ti on its official website, revealing a new model.

NVIDIA's RTX 5050 Ti Might Be The Next Budget-Friendly GPU Option By Team Green, But There's a Catch

The mid-tier GPU segment has definitely heated up since AMD released its competitive RDNA 4 GPU models. NVIDIA competed with them with their 70-class and 60-class offerings, but Team Red saw a notable lead in market adoption despite that. Now, NVIDIA is looking to expand its GPU products, particularly the 50-class lineup that has only seen one SKU for the past few years, and according to a ZOTAC Taiwan page (via @momomo_us), Team Green might be preparing for an RTX 5050 Ti, in order to attract the more mainstream GPU segment.

Well, this is the first time we have seen the RTX 5050 Ti mentioned, so we cannot be sure about specifications for now; however, based on the usual trend, the "Ti" models tend to come with higher clock speeds and, in the case of 60-class GPUs, higher VRAM as well. Considering how poor of a reception 8GB GPUs are seeing by the consumer market, it makes sense for NVIDIA to release an RTX 5050 Ti 16 GB variant if they are eager to get market adoption, but that is yet to be seen for now.

Its "non-Ti" sibling, the RTX 5050, features an 8 GB VRAM with a base clock of 2.31 GHz and a boost clock of 2.57 GHz. The GPU was confined to GDDR6, so we expect the RTX 5050 Ti to retain the same memory module, considering that NVIDIA wants to offer more attractive pricing to its consumers. However, we expect details about the RTX 5050 Ti to surface soon if this is a model being prepared by NVIDIA and their board partners.

Apart from speculation, it might be just a typo error with the RTX 5050 Ti, considering that ZOTAC has used the same page with the RTX 5060 Ti as well, and someone forgot to remove the "Ti" in the naming scheme. But considering how confined NVIDIA's 50-class GPUs have remained in the past, it could be a possible release.
