The GPU supply has apparently stabilized, but NVIDIA is already taking measures to avoid oversupply by cutting the RTX 5060 series supply to its board partners.
NVIDIA Rumored to Cut RTX 5060 Ti GPU Supply by 15% and Up to 30% for the RTX 5060 Temporarily
Most RTX 50 series GPUs were launched on paper a few months ago, but when availability finally started stabilizing, NVIDIA is reportedly cutting the supply to ensure its board partners don't have to sell the GPUs at a lower price. According to Channel Gate (via IT Home), NVIDIA is rumored to have reduced the supply of some RTX 50 series GPUs to its board partners to maintain pricing stability and prevent overflooding of these GPUs.

The report suggests that the supply cut will be for the RTX 5060 series, and both the GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti will be affected. Apparently, NVIDIA's board partners have plenty of RTX 5060 series GPUs in their inventory, and NVIDIA doesn't want these GPUs to sell for a low price, which would affect its margins and the margins of its board partners. In order to maintain a steady balance in supply and demand, NVIDIA has reportedly cut the RTX 5060 Ti GPU supply by about 15% and about 30% cut in the RTX 5060's supply.
Both use variants of the GB206 chip and target the budget and lower mid-range GPU segment. This is why these GPUs are highly popular among gamers, especially the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB card (only 8 GB edition to be affected with supply cut), which offers a sweet spot gaming experience. With a reduction in the GPU supply, NVIDIA and AIBs will be able to maintain higher prices and therefore, won't have to sacrifice their profits. It's said that the supply cut will be temporary, but it will be enough to maintain or even increase the GPU prices if the demand stays strong.

It's expected to see the effects of this change, starting this month, but we don't know how long NVIDIA plans to keep the supply tight. This isn't the first time NVIDIA has tried to cut the GPU supply to retain higher prices, as two months ago, it reportedly decided the same when the RTX 50 GPUs finally became readily available on most retailers. Unfortunately, in many parts of the world, some RTX 50 GPUs are already selling for much higher prices, and NVIDIA continues to gain more PC GPU market share.
