NVIDIA's pursuit of manufacturing high-end AI chips in America wouldn't have been possible without Taiwan partners collaborating, as they hold an integral part of the supply chain.

NVIDIA's Partners, Such as TSMC, Foxconn, & Others Have Contributed Massively Towards Manufacturing in the US

Team Green's push to produce Blackwell wafers in the US has been highly appreciated across the industry, with the likes of President Trump congratulating Jensen on the achievement. NVIDIA's progress clearly indicates that there's a prospect of the US emerging as a manufacturing hub for the world, but according to Jensen, this achievement isn't attributed solely to NVIDIA. While speaking with Fox News, Jensen Huang appreciated Taiwanese partners such as TSMC, Foxconn, Wistron, and others, as their efforts would have made the pursuit of the "Made in USA" narrative significantly more difficult without them.

Within nine months, with the partnership of TSMC, which is an incredible partner for the United States, Foxconn, Wistron, Amkor and SPIL, we've been able to manufacture now the most advanced AI chip in the world, completely in the United States and Arizona.

The workers worked incredibly hard, the mechanical engineers, the mechanical, the electricians, the plumbers, the construction workers. They all worked around the clock. Nine months later, we're now in volume production of the most advanced AI chip in the world.

Well, Jensen's appreciation of Taiwanese partners is indeed due diligence, considering that within the nine months since President Trump took over the office, supply chain partners have given their 'day and night' to establish facilities in the US, and one of the highlights behind NVIDIA's US-made Blackwell wafer achievement is indeed TSMC. The Taiwan chip giant has managed to turn around America's chip industry within a few years, and the company's Arizona facility is now on track to produce one of the world's most sophisticated chips.

TSMC's expansion into the US has been of immense importance in bringing manufacturing to the nation, as it has ultimately garnered the interest of other partners in the supply chain. Similarly, both Foxconn and Wistron have announced 'multi-billion' dollar investments into the US to bring assembly and production lines in the country, with Amkor building an advanced packaging facility as well, which is a massive bottleneck as well. So, it's safe to say that without the cooperation of Taiwanese firms, the US wouldn't have had the opportunity to establish a resilient supply chain.
