NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 MSRP Cards Drop 6% Below MSRP In Europe

NVIDIA's recently introduced GeForce RTX 4060 GPU has seen a price decrease in Europe due to waning demand.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 MSRP Models Are Now Starting At €309 Prices At European Retailers

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU release was met with criticism amongst several consumers since the $299 price tag isn't feasible considering what performance the GPU brings onboard. The lack of consumer interest made it clear that we would see a price drop, and now it's here, starting with the famous German retailer Mindfactory.

Mindfactory has listed the MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ventus 2X for €310. Another French retailer, Hardware.fr, has also reduced the price of the same GPU to €309 after applying a promo code. This is almost a drop of 6% from the original European MSRP of €329. Although this reduction isn't significant, we still anticipate a further price drop considering how the GPU is priced initially. One important thing to highlight is that the variant getting the price drop is Ventus 2X, which is a bit on the lower end; however, the reduction is expected to transition into higher variants such as the MSI Gaming.

We have seen how the GeForce RTX 4060 has been unable to garner interest globally, as it was reported that only one person showed up in Japan to buy the card. The driving cause behind this is the performance that the RTX 4060 brings. Our detailed review revealed that the performance uplift is limited to 15-20% from the previous generation, and NVIDIA has also reduced the VRAM size, which is why the option is only considered by some consumers who instead prefer going the Ampere way.

We expect the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 pricing to drop globally, although a weird trend has been seen in China. With the RX 7600 available at $249 across several retailers, it is expected to see the RTX 4060 somewhere near that price.
