NVIDIA's DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution technology is now available to all NVIDIA App users alongwith a new list of features.

NVIDIA App Officially Adds DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution Support, Increasing Image Fidelity Greatly With The Newest RTX Super Resolution Model

The latest NVIDIA App update is finally available for everyone, bringing DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution support and more.

Last week at CES, NVIDIA introduced its DLSS 4.5 technology, which added two major updates: first was the increased image fidelity with the 2nd Gen Transformer model, and the second was MFG (Multi-frame generation) support of up to 6x. The first of these technologies is now available to everyone and is finally out of BETA through the NVIDIA App.

For those who are already using NVIDIA App, the update will be rolled out automatically, and if you want to install it manually, you can head over to this link. The 2nd Gen Transformer model is 5x more compute-intensive, and works across all RTX GPUs (RTX 20, RTX 30, RTX 40, RTX 50 series).

In our initial tests, we found that the new NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Presets M and L offer a vast reduction in overall ghosting while delivering sharper and increased image quality.

NVIDIA has already announced that DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution will be supported by over 400 games and applications, and with the built-in overrides, you can really get the best image quality in the latest and older titles. Do keep in mind that the technology works best on RTX 50 and RTX 40 GPUs with upgraded Tensor Cores and FP4 support.

The older GPUs can take advantage where excess FPS headroom is available, but enabling DLSS 4.5 is going to take a larger hit on those cards versus the newer architectures.

In addition to the DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution rolling out officially, the NVIDIA App has also been updated with the latest features. The NVIDIA App v11.0.6 adds the following features for a more refined experience:

Besides the NVIDIA App side updates, two additional RTX titles have been announced, which take advantage of DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution:

To sum it up, NVIDIA App now officially offers DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution support to all users, brings new features, and more RTX games with DLSS 4.5 support are now available. In Spring, NVIDIA App will be updated with MFG 6x mode support, so we are looking forward to that too.
