Nioh 3 New Trailer Provides New Quick Look At Story and Gameplay, Confirms Release Date

A new Nioh 3 trailer was shared during today's State of Play presentation, showing new gameplay and confirming the game's early 2026 release date.

The new trailer, which can be watched below, provides a quick look at the game's story which will take place in 1572 and will feature real historical figures from the Japanese Sengoku era as well as the gameplay, which promises to bring the series' complexity to a new level with two separate fighting styles, more open level design and challenging regular enemies and bosses. The trailer also confirms the game will launch on PC and PlayStation 5 on February 6, 2026, as leaked by Amazon Japan earlier today with a listing.

Although Nioh 3 is still a few months away, PlayStation 5 players had the chance to try out the game with an alpha demo available for a limited time only. Based on player feedback from the demo, Team NINJA and Koei Tecmo confirmed some of the changes that will be made to the final game, which include balance tweaks, improved controls, improved visibility in stages, and more. Among the visual improvements that will be implemented in the final release are improvements to Global Illumination, reduced fog in certain stages, better textures, and more.

Nioh 3 launches on PC and PlayStation 5 on February 6, 2026.
