Move over red ring, red dot is the new error

Rizwan Anwer

To add insult to injury the XBOX 360 HAS gotten rid of the age old error of red ring of death, but rings are so 2006 now Microsoft has spruced up the new XBOX 360 Slim alright, now you simply get the "Red Dot of Death" or RDOD for short.

UPDATE - According to Microsoft's support team, while the console won't display a "red ring" in times of hardware failure, it will still clearly indicate an error by switching its power indicator (the light in the centre of the ring) from green to red. So we'll get a red...dot of death instead. RDoT. It has a certain ring about it, no?

Let's hope the Valhalla motherboard performs like the Jasper board on the current XBOX 360.
