MECHREVO is preparing its upcoming Mini PC which will offer the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H "Meteor Lake" CPU in a compact form factor.
Intel Core Ultra 5 125H "Meteor Lake" CPU Spotted Within MECHREVO's Upcoming Mini PC: 14 Cores & Arc GPU
Intel and its partners will be offering Meteor Lake in many form factors besides just laptops. The company has confirmed the chips for AIO and Mini PCs and it looks like certain manufacturers already have access to the latest Core Ultra CPUs and testing their latest designs with them. One such configuration has now been spotted in a MECHREVO iMini Pro Mini PC which is expected to launch in the first half of 2024.
In terms of specifications, the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H CPU is based on the Intel 4 process node and features a 14-core design that comprises 4 P-Cores, 8 E-Cores, and 2 LP E-Cores. The chip has 18 threads, a 3.6 GHz base clock, and a 4.5 GHz boost clock. It carries 20 MB of cache & it will be configured at a 28W TDP. The CPU also houses the Intel Arc Xe-LPG integrated graphics with 7 Xe-Cores.
The Mini PC was running the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H "Meteor Lake" CPU at its peak boost of 4.5 GHz and a 2200 MHz boost clock for the GPU. The system was configured with 32 GB of memory though it isn't mentioned if these were soldered LPDDR5 or SO-DIMM modules.
In terms of the performance of the chip, we are looking at very similar scores to what we have seen earlier. The CPU scored 2260 points in single-core which puts it on par with the Core i5-13500H chip while in multi-threaded tests, it scored 11,431 points which puts it on par with AMD's Ryzen 7 7840HS.
With such Mini PC designs, we can expect the CPU to hit much higher power limits such as 65W which was recently teased by Lenovo. This high-power mode can provide almost as much as 50% performance uplifts in multi-threading scenarios and we can also expect a boost to the graphics performance as seen in these benchmarks. Intel has passed the torch of its NUC business to the ASUS PC division so we can expect Meteor Lake Mini PC designs from them too in the coming year.
