The development of the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 unofficial PC port is proceeding quickly, and major strides have been made in the past few days.

As reported on X/Twitter by PC Focus, the unofficial PC port is looking more and more like the actual game, as textures are being applied quickly. The main menu looks almost ready, as it is only missing shader effects like reflections. Gameplay is also looking fine, although it is clear there's still plenty of work left to be done.

At the rate things are going, the development of the unofficial Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PC port is going to be complete way before work on the official one is. According to last month's leak, development of the port should end this fiscal year, so it could be released after April, although it is likely it will be released towards the end of the year.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is now available on PlayStation 5. Learn more about the second entry in the series by checking out Alessio's review.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 feels like the perfect, albeit safe, evolution of the formula first introduced with the 2018 game. With a highly emotional story, much-improved traversal, great visuals and performance, and industry-leading accessibility, this sequel is very likely to win over most fans of the original. However, a bigger shake-up may be needed for the inevitable Spider-Man 3.
