Yesterday, 2K and Firaxis Games announced the release of a new DLC for Marvel's Midnight Suns called The Hunger. The third DLC to be added to the game after Deadpool and Venom, The Hunger adds Morbius, a scientist who inadvertently transformed himself into a vampire-like being after attempting to cure a very rare disease.

In this DLC, Morbius joins the Midnight Suns to fight a growing vampire threat in New York City. Hydra is also bolstering its elite troops with undead DNA to create powerful soldiers.

Morbius comes with eleven unique abilities and also adds a unique Abbey research project, the Laboratory, which allows players to modify a hero's secondary statistics permanently. You'll be able to recruit him with the story mission Weird Science, which becomes available after Spider-Man unmasks in the Abbey during Act 1.

Gameplay-wise, players will want to capitalize on the Bleed effect with Morbius, who can also enter a Bloodlust state that applies block and causes all his damaging abilities to apply Bleed. If you befriend him in the Abbey, you can unlock a passive perk that makes it easier to trigger Bloodlust. Compared to the dhampyr Blade, Morbius's damage abilities mostly hit single targets.

This Marvel's Midnight Suns DLC also includes three hero skins, seven Abbey outfits, and two swimsuits for Morbius.

Marvel's Midnight Suns was released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X in late November to positive critical reception. The game got an 8.5 out of 10 score here on Wccftech from Chris Wray.

Marvel's Midnight Suns is a strong tactical RPG that feels like something that wouldn't be amiss in the MCU. Some elements can feel a little bloated, but it's a very strong game. The characterisation is top-notch, with some excellent scriptwriting and voice-acting to support it. Outside of the RPG aspects, combat is fun, engaging, and challenging - particularly at higher difficulty levels. I've had a lot of fun with the game, and I'm still having fun with it, and I can't help but think that fans of the genre - and Marvel - would enjoy it as much as me.

It didn't do nearly as well commercially, however. Last month, during the quarterly earnings report, Take-Two had to admit that Marvel's Midnight Suns did not achieve the sales they were hoping for.

Indeed, the game has already had discounts across stores, and it is currently available for 50% off on PC via Steam as part of the Spring Sale.
