Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite

It's been some time since we heard anything about Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, the new entry in the series launching this year on PC and consoles. Thankfully, it seems like we will start learning more about the game very soon.

NeoGAF forums members Ryce, who talked about Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite 2 versus 2 system before the game's official reveal last year, revealed that more information regarding the game should be coming soon, following a press event that's been held last week. There are also some big surprises in store that he won't reveal out of respect for Capcom.

So I hear there was an MvCI press event in Germany a few days ago and that the embargo lifts at the end of the week. There are some big surprises in store, which I'm not going to spoil out of respect to Capcom.

Back in January, Ryce also talked about characters that have yet to be revealed, hinting that an obscure Capcom villain will be in the game.

I know that if I was in everyone else’s shoes and it’s been a month since new information was revealed I’d take any semblance of a hint I could get. To me, the hype train is half the fun of a new MvC coming out. It’s hard hearing something cool about one of my favorite series and keeping it completely secret. I promised not to reveal the character by name or the IP that he or she hails from, but here’s a hint: the character is a villain. I know Capcom has lots of interesting and obscure villains, but that’s all I can say without giving too much away.

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite launches in late 2017 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
