Pixel 8a U.S. Price Leaked, You Won't Have to Pay a Lot of Money, Two Variants Confirmed

The Pixel 8a has been circulating the internet for as long as we can remember. The phone has leaked numerous times over the past couple of months, sometimes in the form of a retail box, other times in renders. Today, we have another leak that talks about the full spec sheet of Google's upcoming mid-ranger. It seems like a pretty nice package for people looking for a Pixel experience but without spending a lot of money.

The Pixel 8a sounds a lot like a solid package for anyone who is looking for an affordable smartphone

Reliable tipster Yogesh Brar shared the Pixel 8a spec sheet, and although everything about the device is what we already know, there appears to be a nice surprise waiting for those who want to get their hands on the upcoming device.

For the most part, the Pixel 8a looks like a promising device for a lot of people who are in the market for a stellar smartphone. I do like the $500 price tag as it puts the device right around the corner with the Galaxy A55 and some other devices, perhaps. The phone is said to have a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. You also get the Tensor G3 found in the elder siblings, along with a 64-megapixel primary and 13-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. On the front, there is a 13-megapixel sensor for selfies. The phone will run Android 14 out of the box, with a 4,500 mAh battery that will charge at 27W - finally, an upgrade from the 18W charging that some devices have offered in the past.

Brar also mentions that the phone will launch in May, which makes sense because that is when Google is hosting I/O 2024. It falls in line with the release of the Pixel 7a, which was also released in May 2023.

Overall, the Pixel 8a looks like a robust device for those who are looking to save some money and still get a decent stock Android experience. I do understand that it is not going to be for everyone, but if you are a Pixel fan and you have been trying really hard to justify the price of the standard variants, this might be a good choice for you. Plus, the fact that we are getting multiple storage options is something that will sit well with many people who want a decent phone.
