Keychron has introduced its first-ever 14-in-1 Thunderbolt 5 Dock, which is designed for professionals and power users who need expanded connectivity for modern systems such as laptops and workstations. The docking station has entered a growing premium market where Thunderbolt 5 devices are still relatively scarce. Nonetheless, we do see more vendors now equipping their notebooks with Thunderbolt 5, which is why many vendors are expanding their catalog with Thunderbolt 5 docks.

Keychron is now the latest member joining others with its own high-end offering. The 14-in-1 Thunderbolt 5 docking station uses a CNC-machined aluminum chassis with a minimalist industrial design that closely matches the aesthetic of Keychron's existing products. Unlike many competing docking stations, Keychron's dock doesn't rely on active cooling. The company has opted for a passive design that delivers all the functions while delivering absolutely no noise.

The docking station delivers a power button, status LED, one 10 Gbps USB Type C port, two 10 Gbps USB Type A ports, SD 4.0 (UHS-II), and microSD 4.0 (UHS-II) card readers on the front. The inclusion of high-speed memory card readers makes the dock particularly appealing for photographers, videographers, and content creators who regularly transfer large media files.

At the rear I/O, users will find a single upstream Thunderbolt 5 port, capable of delivering up to 140W Power Delivery, two downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports for peripherals or high-performance storage drives. There are more connectivity ports, such as two 10 Gbps Type A ports, dual HDMI 2.1 TMDS outputs, a 2.5 GbE LAN, and dual Kensington security lock slots.

The Keychron 14-in-1 Thunderbolt 5 Dock is priced at $349, positioned in the premium market segment for enthusiasts.
