Based on the latest information, the Pro models will come with a new thermal management solution, improvements in battery life, and display brightness. If accurate, these changes could mark one of the most significant upgrades for the iPhone in recent years.

The leak indicates that Apple is preparing the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max with a redesigned thermal management system, which will address one of the most common issues faced by users during heavy workloads. We have previously seen how thermal throttling works on the iPhone - it basically caps the performance when the temperature of the device gets higher to protect the internals and prevent crashes. Thermal throttling is quite hindering when gaming and recording video in 4K, and it is slated to be reduced to allow the device to maintain peak performance for longer periods of time without overheating.

It is worth noting that these enhancements will only be available on the iPhone 17 Pro models, but some of them could make their way to the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air.
