The second half of 2025 has started, which only means that we will be gearing up to witness the iPhone 17 launch that is scheduled to happen in September. As the majority of you know, Apple will keep the number of devices to four, just like last year and the year before, but with a massive twist in its current lineup, as it is expected to replace the ‘Plus’ model for the iPhone 17 Air, which will flaunt an exceptionally slim chassis. If you are excited to know the date on which these devices will be unveiled, some German sources believe that the company’s event will be held on September 9.
The aforementioned date sticks with Apple’s traditional launch patterns for its next iPhone series
Information received by iPhone-ticker, which was spotted by MacRumors, states that the iPhone 17 series will be unveiled in the second week of September. As for those wondering about the authenticity of this launch date, we currently cannot verify, but September 9 lines up well with Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman’s prediction, who mentioned that Apple’s flagship smartphones could be announced on September 9 or September 10.
Shortly after the official unveiling has concluded, iPhone 17 pre-orders will commence on a Friday, which would be September 12. Typically, it takes a week for the pre-ordered devices to reach customers and retail outlets, meaning that the actual release will happen on September 19. The U.S., Europe, China, India and others are key markets for Apple, so it will probably not miss out on launching the iPhone 17 family there.
Sadly, the German sources did not talk about which products will be unveiled at Apple’s event, but the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will be the stars of the show, followed by the AirPods Pro 3. As for smartwatches, we might see the California-based giant announce the low-cost Apple Watch SE 3, along with the Apple Watch Series 11 and the Apple Watch Ultra 3, but nothing is confirmed right now.
