Apple introduces new finishes to its iPhone ‘Pro’ series every year, experimenting with several variations. Naturally, launching a new model in the same color will result in a bland strategy, which is why the company changes things up every 12 months. On this occasion, one Middle Eastern retailer has teased that we should buckle our seatbelts for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max possibly arriving in a new coffee finish, and it will be the first time Apple has taken this approach.
The teaser also hints that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will gain a new macro feature, allowing it to capture an insane level of detail when zoomed in
The teaser was posted by Sharaf DG, a well-known consumer electronics retailer based in Dubai. Apart from ‘Stay Tuned’ mentioned at the end of the 14-second clip, there was no other text present that highlighted the new features coming to the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Fortunately, that was unnecessary, as the video delivered the message in black and white. The subtle hints were noticed by @emkwan, who posted the teaser on X, showing a cup of coffee.
The video zooms in on the coffee, with the iconic triple-rear camera array showing up, along with the two-word text right at the end. Now, the beverage alone highlights that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will arrive in a new color, but there is something else too. The way the video zooms into the coffee cup suggests that Apple could introduce a new macro feature to both flagships, bringing in ridiculous levels of zoom to capture incredible detail.
Has a DUBAI tech retailer just leaked / teased us with a look at the color + camera update of the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro Max? 👀

Apple currently offers this feature from the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max onwards, with the Ultra Wide camera used to capture macro photography. The company could introduce a new layer to this imaging feature, providing better close-ups. While we do not know the full extent of these details, Apple’s September 9 ‘It’s Glowtime’ event is just one week away. There is not much time remaining for the announcement to happen and for us to learn more about the new flagships.
