At 0.06 inches, the iPhone 15 Pro Max was previously rumored to be the next handset with the thinnest bezels ever. Unfortunately, that would have meant that Apple was not giving the same attention to the smaller flagship, the iPhone 15 Pro. Thankfully, an update has been received, and Apple will likely give the 6.1-inch iPhone the same razor-thin bezels as the larger counterpart.

iPhone 15 Pro will still lose out on one exclusive feature, and that is the periscope zoom lens debuting on the iPhone 15 Pro Max

The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max were already rumored to ship with thinner bezels than their direct predecessors, matching the measurements of the Apple Watch. However, since Ice Universe did not mention anything in his earlier tweet regarding the iPhone 15 Pro, we dismissed that Apple would not treat it in the same manner. Luckily, in the tweets that followed, the tipster put out an update given below, clarifying the confusion.

This means that both flagships expected to arrive in the fourth quarter this year will have a bezel measurement of 1.55mm, beating the current king, which is the Xiaomi 13 Pro, a premium Chinese smartphone with bezels measuring just 1.81mm. Whether or not this feat from Apple will be achieved, thanks to using Samsung’s next-generation M13 LTPO OLED panels, is something we are not aware of, but here is something that we do know.

Inside the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, Apple will likely make some hefty changes. With the iPhone X, when the company introduced its first iPhone without the home button, reviewers noticed that the OLED panel was curved at the corners, giving the device those symmetrical, thin bezels. Apple could take it one step further with the upcoming handsets, but given that this is not something every company can accomplish, it will take a ton of engineering and monetary resources.

This could be one reason why the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max end up being more expensive than the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, among other reasons. Consumers still have the choice to go for the less expensive iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Plus, as both are rumored to feature the same Dynamic Island that arrived with the ‘Pro’ models from last year. In short, if the more expensive offerings are more than you can fathom, alternatives are coming.
