Intel Core Ultra 9 185H "Meteor Lake" CPU Boasts 5.1 GHz Clocks In First Geekbench Entry 1

The latest benchmark of Intel's Core Ultra 9 185H "Meteor Lake" CPU has leaked and it shows strong multi-core performance.

Intel Meteor Lake, Core Ultra 9 185H, CPU Impresses In Latest Leaked Benchmark But Still Room For Improvement

Although we have already seen the benchmarks of the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPU in Geekbench 5, the previous results were rather underwhelming with the chip barely beating last-gen Core i7 chips. However, we now have the latest benchmarks which show much better performance, especially in multi-core tests, where the CPU now sits on par with "HX" class enthusiast processors that not only run at higher clock speeds but also have much higher TDPs.

In terms of specifications, the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H "Meteor Lake" CPU would feature 16 Cores (6 P-Cores + 8 E-Cores + 2 LP E-Cores) and 22 threads, along with a maximum frequency touching the 5.1 GHz barrier. The chip offers 24 MB of L3 cache and will feature a TDP of around 28-45W. The PC was configured with 64 GB of DDR5 memory though the exact specs are not known.

Coming straight to the performance figures, the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H "Meteor Lake" CPU scored 1873 points in single-core and 13,796 points in multi-core tests. This is a faster multi-core output than the Core i9-12950HX which offers the 8 P-Cores + 8 E-Cores and runs at a higher TDP of up to 157W (PL2). The single-core test has gotten better too but it can still see an improvement since the Alder Lake & Raptor Lake parts offer better performance around the same clock speeds.

With a little over one month left in the launch, it is likely that we are going to see even better Intel Meteor Lake CPU performance leaks ahead of time. The launch takes place on the 14th of December and retailers have already started listing the first laptop designs which we reported yesterday. The lineup is also said to focus on the mainstream platform first followed by higher-end Core Ultra chip designs by early 2024.
