From our reports, Intel's Arrow Lake-S "Core Ultra 200" Desktop CPUs were going to make a formal debut on the 10th of October and would have been available on retail shelves along with the Z890 motherboards on the 17th of October. The retail launch has now been changed to the 24th of October which means that buyers will have to wait an additional week to get their hands on the new releases.

Intel's Core Ultra 200 "Arrow Lake" Desktop CPUs will initially include six chips in the K "Unlocked" series. These include the Core Ultra 9 285K(F), Core Ultra 7 265K(F), and the Core Ultra 5 245K(F). All three chips will be available on retail shelves on the same day and various retailers have already started to list them in the North American and European regions.

The CPUs will be accompanied by the first wave of 800-series chipset motherboards. These include the Z890 series which is targeted at the high-end and enthusiast segment. There will also be a few mainstream options for those building PCs with the Core Ultra 5 options.

As for the second wave, Intel is expected to launch more 800-series options such as the B860 and H810 series which will be great for consumers opting for Non-K CPUs in 65W and 35W flavors and those will be available around the CES 2025 timeframe. Currently, Intel hasn't officially confirmed anything about the Arrow Lake CPUs or the 800-series platform such as the specs, architecture, and the platform IO capabilities but more details are expected to land in once we get closer to the exact launch date.
