HP introduced two new workstation PCs packed with AMD's Ryzen AI Max "Strix Halo" APUs, the ZBook Ultra G1a & the Z2 Mini G1a.

HP has announced its newest PC products for enthusiasts who want the best possible performance without needing a discrete GPU. The HP ZBook Ultra G1a and Z2 Mini G1a bring the latest AMD Strix Halo chips for powerful computing performance and can be carried easily anywhere.

Each of these PCs brings powerful specifications and features for intensive workloads and features up to the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 395 processor. With such a high-end CPU, users will get Zen 5-powered 16 cores and 32 threads, maximizing productivity while offering powerful graphical performance through the RDNA 3.5-powered 40 Compute Units.

Not only can these PCs execute graphically-intensive operations, but they are ideal for gaming as well. The ZBook Ultra G1a is a 14-inch workstation laptop, boasting a sleek and thin design for easy portability and has a long battery life. Equipped with up to 128 GB RAM and up to 4 TB of fast storage, the laptop is ready to take on demanding apps. The system will feature multiple PSU options with the highest-end one being 300W.

The laptop brings HDMI 2.1, USB Type C 10 Gbps, USB Type C 40 Gbps, a 3.5mm Audio jack, and USB Type A 10 Gbps ports for excellent connectivity. Through an excellent cooling solution called HP Vaporforce Thermals, the PC can dissipate heat quickly from the vents, letting users achieve high performance without facing thermal throttles.

The Z2 Mini G1a, on the other hand, is a compact mini-PC that can be attached to the back of the monitor for a compact workstation setup and is easy to carry and use anywhere, anytime. The mini-PC boasts roughly the same specs as the ZBOOK Ultra G1a but can be upgraded with up to 8 TB of storage. As per HP, the Z2 Mini G1a is ready for Product Designers and Engineers, Software Developers, as well as professionals in various fields.

There are tons of ports available on the Z2 Mini G1a for connectivity, including 2x Flex IO for additional connectivity, 2x mini DP 2.1 UHBR10, 2x USB2-A ports, 2x USB3-A 10 Gbps ports, 1x USB4-C 40 Gbps port, and 1x 2.5GbE LAN for fast wired internet connectivity. Of course, the PC also brings the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard for wireless internet and has convenient features such as multi-display support, Windows or Linux OS, and a rackable design.
