Money is incredibly tight at the start of Kliff’s journey in Crimson Desert. Since healing depends on meals cooked with vendor-bought ingredients, your survivability is directly tied to your wallet, let alone your battle prowess, which is fueled by gear rather than stats.
Here are a few ways to earn money fast at the beginning of the game without stealing, including an effective exploit that takes advantage of a mechanical loophole to farm tons of loot to sell.
Sell Enemy Loot
While not every defeated enemy drops loot, most of them do. Often, these dropped items aren't anything to write home about and also include broken gear. However, by selling them, you can generally earn a decent amount of coppers to cover some of your basic needs.
It's not by selling random loot that you will make the most money. However, you can exploit the game's loot mechanics by leveraging another mechanic.
Infinite Loot Farming
While enemy encounters only respawn after a while on the map, there's a way to fight wave after wave of enemies, and thus farm loot and money.
In some subquests, you are tasked with defeating bosses hidden inside occupied locations, such as Fort Perwin in the Continuing Concern House Roberts Faction Quest.
Usually, you need to defeat multiple enemies to liberate the location, but in these specific situations, even after you have brought the faction bar to 0%, enemies will continue to pour out until the boss is defeated!
This means that you can get so much loot you will have to complete several trips back to vendors (possibly using this Fast Travel Trick), especially if you haven't expanded your inventory space considerably, to sell the many items you probably will have a hard time holding in your bag!
Use Coin Purses
Sometimes, enemies will drop coin purses beside other loot, which include varying amounts of coin. However, you cannot sell them to earn money. Instead, you need to use them via the Inventory menu.
This is something that is very easy to miss, as the game doesn't tell you these purses are the equivalent of your typical soulslike items that grant you currency upon use. Make sure to use the Use All option to open all purses of a specific time at once, saving you some time.
Use Banks' Services
While this is not something you can take advantage of in the early game due to a high initial money investment, using the bank's services is a great way to earn a lot of money. By opening up a Strongbox (which requires a Personal Strongbox Permit for the cost of 100 silver), you can invest gold bars for profit. In banks, you can also convert 500 silver pieces for a Gold Bar and vice versa.
