Step 1. On your iPhone or Android phone, launch Instagram

Step 2. Tap on your profile button on the bottom right

Step 3. Now tap on the triple dash icon on the top right and then select Settings

Step 4. Navigate to Privacy > Story

Step 5. Under Replying, select either Followers, Followers You Follow Back or Off. Since you want to disable replies, therefore choose between the last two options, wisely

This is a great little feature on Instagram which proves to be handy for a lot of people out there. The best option to go with here is the one that allows you to receive replies from people who you follow back. Disabling replies completely is the nuclear option, and perfect for times when you want to block everything out.
