Delivery Optimization is a peer-to-peer feature that allows users to download updates from other computers on the same network. You can even use it to upload updates to other systems. This sounds great, but this feature can quickly finish your data. If you don’t have an unlimited data plan, this can be very expensive. There are times that this feature can cause bandwidth issues. If you don’t want either of these issues, the best course of action is to turn this feature off. To do that, follow the steps below:
Step-1: Click on the Windows icon and then select the Settings app. You can also open the settings app using the shortcut keys Win + I.
Step-2: Now select the Windows Update option from the left pane.
Step-3: Click on Advanced options from the right pane.
Step-4: Under the Additional options section, locate Delivery Optimization and click on it.
Step-5: Turn the toggle switch Off next to Allow downloads from other PCs.
