Autocorrect is a blessing for some people. However, it can be highly annoying at times. If you have a touchscreen laptop and often use the on-screen keyboard, you can quickly turn the autocorrect off in Settings. This tutorial will address this and show you how to disable autocorrect on touch keyboard on Windows 11 system.
Disable Autocorrect Touch Keyboard
When you type, autocorrect changes the word entirely, and it can be extremely frustrating when you know that the word you typed is correct. So, if you have faced these issues, follow these simple steps and turn off the autocorrect feature:
Step-1: Click on the Windows icon on the taskbar. Select the Settings cog. (You can also use the shortcut keys Win + I to open the Settings app)
Step-2: Once the app opens, select Time & language from the left pane.
Step-3: Click on Typing in the right pane.
Step-4: Now turn the toggle switch off next to Autocorrect misspelt words.
BONUS Step: If you find highlighted words problematic as well, you can turn the toggle switch off next to Highlight misspelt words too.
If sometime later you change your mind about autocorrect, you can turn it back on by following all the above steps but in Step-4, turn the toggle switch On instead.
