Where to Find Nowaki the Ambusher
Nowaki the Ambusher can be found in the Hidden Swamp, where you will eventually travel to at the end of the questline focused on her. The first quest in this line is the Hunting the Hunter quest, which can be completed right after the decision has been made to flush Kimura Yukari out by taking down her most trusted companions.
After recovering an item from her ruined home and forcing her to come out of hiding, you will have to track her down following her voice. This is done by pressing the L2, Left Trigger button and moving the camera around, depending on the direction the sound is coming from, highlighted by some ripples on the sides of the screen. Once you are heading in the right direction, you will see more small ripples on the screen. Try to get used to these mechanics quickly, as they are essential to win the upcoming fight.
How to Beat Nowaki the Ambusher
The fight against Nowaki, the Ambusher, in Assassin's Creed Shadows: Claws of Awaji takes place in a dark and dangerous swamp with minimal visibility, a lot of traps that force you to move carefully, and clones of Nowaki that are indistinguishable from her. These traps, however, work both ways as you must trigger them safely to understand where the Ambusher is located. Before you do, however, you will have to find her general location by following her voice. Once in a safe spot, trigger one of the traps and look around to find where she is shooting from. Once you discover her, get close without triggering any other trap and attack her to deal some damage. Make absolutely sure you are attacking the real enemy, and not one of her clones, as doing so will result in damage, and The Ambusher switching positions.
After dealing enough damage to Nowaki, she will completely change her strategy. She will climb on the tower at the center of the swamp, and she will relentlessly shoot at you. To reach her, you must climb the tower from the side of the structure in the screenshot above. During the climb, she will not be able to damage you, so there's no need to be careful. Once on top, attack her a few more times, and she will become history.
