This secret technique in Crimson Desert allows you to steal enemy gear without having to rely on drop rates

With its sandbox mechanics, Crimson Desert is filled with a lot of secret techniques that can help you gain a sound advantage over the enemy. Among these is a secret disarm technique that is very easy to use, weakens enemies considerably and allow you to easily get their gear to sell for what is essentially infinite silver.

The Secret Disarm Mechanic

The game never explicitly warns you about this, but Kliff can force enemies to drop their equipment mid-fight and steal it even before the fight is over.

To disarm enemies, you have to:

  1. Equip a Shield, so no two-handed weapons or dual-wielding.
  2. Hold L1/LB to guard and wait for the enemy to strike your shield.
  3. Immediately after the clashing sound, press the R2/RT button.
  4. If the enemy is hit by this shield attack, they will drop their weapon and shield.

As you can easily understand, this secret technique is game-changing for a few reasons:

  • For the rest of the fight, that enemy is forced to fight unarmed. This drastically reduces their damage output and removes their ability to block your attacks.
  • Once the fight is over, you can pick up these dropped items, and sell them for significant amounts of Silver at any vendor.
  • As any duplicate gear of the same level can be used to refine the same items without having to use materials, this will also make you stronger, even if you don't sell all the items you took from the enemy.
