Gigabyte's RTX 5080 custom models start at $999 for the WindForce OC edition and can cost up to $1399 for premium editions like XTREME WaterForce.
Seven Different Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 Editions Appear on Best Buy, NVIDIA's Founders Edition Listed as Well
The GeForce RTX 5080 review embargo will lift tomorrow, followed by the retail launch a day later. The GPU is the second-fastest in the Blackwell lineup, featuring the same price tag as the RTX 4080 Super for the Founders Edition card, but the custom editions can launch for a few hundred bucks higher.
The first ones to get officially listed on one of the biggest NA retailers are Gigabyte RTX 5080 editions. Being one of NVIDIA's major board partners, Gigabyte already revealed its RTX Blackwell GPUs a few weeks back, but the official embargo on sales will lift on 30 January. Best Buy is currently hosting seven Gigabyte RTX 5080 models, which aren't yet available for purchase.
These include the following editions, and here are their respective prices:
- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 WindForce OC SFF: $999.99
- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 Gaming OC: $1199.99
- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 AERO SFF OC: $1249.99
- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 AORUS Master ICE: $1299.99
- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 AORUS Master: $1299.99
- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 XTREME WaterForce WB: $1349.99
- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 XTREME WaterForce: $1399.99
The cheapest among all is the WindForce OC SFF edition, which is priced exactly at the official MSRP of the Founders Edition. It will be a compact card compared to other editions but will feature a slightly higher boost clock out of the box compared to the FE. More premium editions such as AORUS and XTREME cards will have a premium price tag of $1299 and above.
The most expensive one will be the XTREME WaterForce at $1399.99 and will feature a custom AIO cooling solution. The XTREME WaterForce WB will feature just a custom water block for enthusiasts who want to do their own custom liquid loops. It will be $50 cheaper than the WaterForce edition, but it will still be $350 over the Founders Edition.
The NVIDIA RTX 5080 FE card is also listed at $999 at Best Buy, but you have to wait till 30th January to buy any of them. The more important question is whether you will be able to secure one for yourself, since various reports have been suggesting an extremely low supply of these GPUs for the launch day.
