Digitale Spielekultur, the foundation that runs the Gamescom Awards, announced today the nominees. The awards organization received 174 entries for the competition. Voting will commence on August 3rd via the official Gamescom app.

Star Wars Battlefront leads the way with four Gamescom nominations

The awards ceremony for all categories will be held on August 7th at 6:00 PM CEST, on the “Let’s play meets Gamescom” stage, in Hall 10.1.

Star Wars Battlefront leads the pack with four nominations, followed by Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and Final Fantasy XV with three each. Super Mario Maker, Anno 2205, Skylanders SuperChargers and Guitar Hero Live also receive three nominations.
