The Galaxy Unpacked event is right around the corner, so it was only a matter of time before Samsung’s supply chain made a massive blunder. The company’s top-end flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, made it into the hands of a YouTuber, who posted the first hands-on images of the device. Unfortunately, the nightmare is just beginning for Samsung as every single feature will likely be tested and put on display for millions to view, starting with the S Pen. The Korean technology behemoth left out an important feature, and if your memory is not sharp, we want to remind you that this feature didn’t make it in the Galaxy S25 Ultra either.

Galaxy S26 Ultra’s S Pen to lack Bluetooth connectivity, preventing users from performing functions such as remotely capturing images

On X, Sahil Karoul has been on a mission to provide his viewers with every possible take on the Galaxy S26 Ultra before Samsung comes knocking on his door. Sadly, one addition not making the cut is Bluetooth functionality, which the company removed when it launched the Galaxy S25 Ultra last year, and it appears that history will repeat itself because the Galaxy S26 Ultra lacks similar functionality too.

As seen in the short clip below, pressing the S Pen’s button doesn’t trigger the camera shutter, and despite a petition filed, which implored Samsung to bring back Bluetooth connectivity to the stylus, the company appears adamant about following its own strategy. To be fair, the S Pen is an add-on for a small percentage of users who will hardly make the effort to remove the accessory from the holster to daily drive it, so Samsung must have thought that it isn’t worth the effort to bring back Bluetooth connectivity.

However, if the firm continues to remove features, what would be the advantage of owning a Galaxy S26 Ultra? According to a previous leak, the flagship has beaten the iPhone 17 Pro Max in Geekbench 6’s single-core and multi-core tests thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, with Weibo tipster Momentary Digital mentioning that the 5,000mAh battery found inside the premium handset will last longer than Samsung’s previous flagships.

Of course, how can we forget the privacy display, which Ice Universe says will address lots of real-world complaints, as Samsung is pushing more towards useful features rather than targeting incremental hardware upgrades, such as high refresh rate panels or peak brightness levels.
