Apparently, the company’s 2025 flagship will sport rounded corners similar to the volatile Galaxy Note 7, and that is not the only change expected to arrive because the Korean giant is rumored to make its next flagship thinner than previous-generation models.

The ‘boxy’ design of the Galaxy S24 Ultra might not be extended to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, as Ice Universe has commented on X that Samsung will shift towards rounded corners. Personally, we would appreciate this change if it were to come true because it means that the handset will not be pointy from all four corners, meaning that it will not be an encumbrance to hold the device comfortably. Perhaps the only drawback of switching to rounded corners for consumers is that they cannot re-use the cases strapped to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, assuming they will upgrade to its direct successor.

This figure means that the Galaxy S24 Ultra is slightly thicker at 8.6mm, with the Galaxy S23 Ultra measuring 8.9mm. In short, Samsung has gradually been reducing the thickness of its flagships with every passing year, which would explain why the company is experiencing difficulty going beyond the battery capacity threshold of 5,000mAh.
