Galaxy S24 Two-Chip Strategy Confirmed by Qualcomm CEO, Majority of Markets to Get the Snapdragon Variant

Earlier this year, Samsung surprised everyone when the Galaxy S23 series released sporting the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy. This was the first time in a long time since Samsung decided to go with a single-chip variant. However, with the release of Galaxy S24, this is going to change as Qualcomm's CEO has confirmed the two-chip strategy that Samsung is going back to.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy will be featured in majority of markets upon Galaxy S24's release, with Exynos 2400 having a lower volume

The Galaxy S24 will be powered by both the Exynos 2400 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy. This two-pronged strategy will be used for the base and Plus variants. However, the Ultra variant will only offer the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and just like with the Galaxy S22 series, the majority of market share will be with Qualcomm, meaning you will be seeing the Snapdragon variant in more markets.

Honestly, I am excited to see the battle between the Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Especially after we recently learned that the Exynos 2200 is actually back from the dead and offering a better performance on the Galaxy S23 FE than it did in the Galaxy S22. As far as the Galaxy S24 is concerned, the reports that we have received so far point towards a release in January 2024, so we are going to see the phone pretty soon, and considering how we are only a couple of months away, you can expect a lot more information to surface.

I am particularly interested in the Galaxy S24 Ultra, considering how it will be a true flagship, and I really want to see all the changes that Samsung has made to next year's flagship. Here is hoping that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy delivers sustained performance so we can truly experience a flagship phone from the South Korean tech firm.
