Galaxy S24 price to be the same as the Galaxy S23

Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S24 series soon, but instead of proceeding with the Snapdragon-exclusive launch, the company will also release Exynos 2400 variants in multiple regions, which should help reduce the production cost of each model. This is why one rumor claims that despite using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the Korean giant will not charge customers more to experience its latest and greatest lineup.

Using the Exynos 2400 in various regions will likely help Samsung to bring down the Galaxy S24’s production cost

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is rumored to be more expensive than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and this price difference will eat into Samsung’s margins further, which only meant that to offset its losses, it would have to charge customers more. Thankfully, a rumor published on Hankyung states that the Galaxy S24 pricing will remain unchanged compared to the Galaxy S23, thanks to the Exynos 2400.

There is no additional information on how expensive the Exynos 2400 is, but mass producing it using its own foundry means that the chipset likely costs less than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Even if keeping the Galaxy S24 family priced in the same range affects Samsung financially, the rumor provides shipment estimates of the firm’s 2024 flagship series.

According to the latest figure, the Korean giant is expected to ship around 33 million units, which is a 10 percent increase compared to the Galaxy S24 shipments this year. Just like with the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the Galaxy S24 Ultra could end up becoming the most popular handset from the trio, and that would have to do with the attractive upgrades it offers compared to the remaining two models.

Samsung has other ideas to boost shipments of its latest series, with a previous report stating that the company applied for the trademarks ‘AI Phone’ and ‘AI Smartphone,’ indicating that there should be some generative AI capabilities with the Galaxy S24. With about a month remaining for the new models to be officially announced, we will find out what new features set them apart from the current-generation Galaxy S23 range, so stay tuned.
