Galaxy S24 series to be limited to 12GB RAM once again

One of the best things about the Galaxy S24 was the fact that the device could actually turn normal videos into slow-motion videos with the help of AI and a neat technique known as frame interpolation. Although there are some limitations to how this feature works, the option is still there, and for the most part, it works really well.

Instant slow-motion video feature from Galaxy S24 is getting ready to show up on the Galaxy S23 and a few other devices

As with most of the Galaxy AI features, many users were wondering which older Samsung devices will get the instant slow-motion video feature that has made strands on the Galaxy S24 devices. We now have word that the feature is coming to several old devices, which is good news for those who have not upgraded to a new phone. Here is a list of devices that are getting the new feature:

Now, this might be a sad situation for those who are on devices older than the ones mentioned above. However, Samsung has mentioned time and again how to make the instant slow motion feature work, you are going to need a powerful GPU and an NPU - both of which the Galaxy S24 series does have but isn't something that is present on the Galaxy S22 or older devices. Samsung has even talked about how this feature needs to react at 16.6 ms for 60fps video. This type of processing is not capable on older devices, so it makes sense as to why this feature is not coming to devices older than the ones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The Galaxy S24 series is doing well, but it is still running into some issues. If you are still on the Galaxy S23 or any device mentioned in the list, you will get the feature soon without waiting a long time. The one concern I have is that I am not sure how this feature will work on older devices in terms of performance, and I hope that there are no issues that might come in the way.
