Galaxy A55 Moves Closer to the Official Launch as the Phone Passes Through NBTC Certification

Now that Samsung is done with the release of the Galaxy S24 series, the company is now focusing on its more affordable A series devices. The Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 are going to go official in a matter of months. For instance, the Galaxy A54 and A34 were released back in March last year, so if Samsung follows the same release schedule for the new phones, we are not really surprised.

The Galaxy A55 is going to sport Exynos 1480 and will be the first Samsung mid-ranger to offer AI-related features

As far as the Galaxy A55 and the Galaxy A35 are concerned, these are going to be mid-range devices that are going to take design elements from the Galaxy S24 devices. In addition to that, the new phones are also going to feature this protrusion where all the keys are going to be located. We saw this in the renders that previously leaked, but today, it is about the fact that one of the phones has gone through NBTC certification, which means that it is closer to the official launch.

Looking at this certification, we get some idea regarding what to expect from the Galaxy A55. Based on all the information, the phone is going to sport a 5G modem, and I have a feeling that it will be running Exynos 1480 which showed up on Geekbench a couple of months ago and delivered surprisingly good performance. The phone is also going to sport flatter sides and a flat display. You can check out the renders here.

Simply put, there is no denying that the Galaxy A55 looks like a stellar smartphone, and for anyone who is in the market looking for a more affordable phone but still with a great Samsung experience, this is something that you should be going with. I do understand that there might be some concerns in terms of the performance and features, but this is perhaps going to be the first Samsung mid-ranger to offer AI features combined with a solid overall user experience.
