Framework Previews Its AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 PC Desktop With 192 GB Memory That Lets You Run DeepSeek V4-Flash at Q8 With Room For Spare Context Length

Framework has previewed its upcoming Desktop featuring the AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 495 chip with 192 GB memory that effortlessly runs DeepSeek V4-Flash.

Framework's AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 495 Desktop Makes Several Improvements Besides Packing A Massive 192 GB "Unified" Memory

At AMD's Advancing AI 2026 event, Framework is previewing its upcoming Desktop PC that comes packed with the AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 495 chip. This chip is an updated version of AMD's Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 395, offering the same 16 Zen 5 cores but clocked at a higher 5.2 GHz frequency. The GPU is upgraded to the Radeon 8065S, which packs 40 RDNA 3.5 cores at 3.0 GHz.

For memory, the system packs an astonishing 192 GB of Unified memory, operating at 273 GB/s (8533 MT/s LPDDR5X), which is a 6.6% speed-up in memory speeds & bandwidth, and a 50% boost to capacity versus the Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 systems, which offered 256 GB/s bandwidth & up to 128 GB capacities.

According to Framework, the system is optimized for AI LLMs, running DeepSeek V4-Flash at Q8 on a single box, and there's room to spare for additional context length.

There are also several other improvements made to the new Framework AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 495 Desktop, such as the PCIe x4 slot being open-ended, which would allow users to plug in larger PCIe cards directly within the system. To showcase its open-ended PCIe slots, Framework set up a concept of a cluster using two 50 GbE NICs, which enable RDMA over Ethernet (RoCE). This offers ultra-low latency and makes it possible to effectively pool 384 GB of memory across two desktops with tensor parallelism.

The company will also introduce a pre-built version with a Linux distro pre-loaded. Framework has stated that as LPDDR5X prices continue to rise, the 192 GB Ryzen AI MAX+ 495 system will bring a substantial jump in cost over the existing 128 GB model, and recommends picking up a 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB model based on your budget.

AMD's Ryzen AI MAX+ 495 with 192 GB will eclipse existing 128 GB platforms such as NVIDIA's DGX Spark, which still retains 128 GB LP5X memory and costs close to $5000 US. The base price of the MAX+ 395 system from Framework is around $3500 US, and that's also what most 395+ PCs are selling for from other manufacturers. We expect a $ 5000+ US price for the 192 GB model when it hits retail later this year.
