CD Projekt Red's acclaimed The Witcher: Enhanced edition and its sequel, Assassins of the King, has just received an update on all platforms, and the new update adds support for Apple's M1 and M2 Silicon along with support for MacOS Ventura. The announcement is coming from the official account on Twitter, and users who are looking to enjoy the game can now go ahead and do so on their Macs.
The M1 and M2 Apple Macs can now play the first and second Witcher games, and you're in for a treat
Sadly, at the time of writing, we still don't know if The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is going to make its way to newer Macs, but considering the power, I have a feeling that it might happen at some time. Coming back to the originals, both games offer a stellar experience, and while the first one does seem a bit janky, if you are a fan of old-school RPG games with excellent and engaging storytelling, then I am sure that you are not going to have any issues playing it.

As far as The Witcher 2: Assassins of the Kings is concerned, I believe it is a highly underrated gem that does not nearly get the love it deserves. I remember trying to run it on my severely underpowered PC years ago when it first came out, and if you are looking for a solid RPG with politics and high fantasy, I would not suggest you play any other game.
The Witcher series is based on the works of acclaimed Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski, and all three games have received critical and commercial success, with the third installment being called one of the best roleplaying games of all time. Considering how people have spent countless hours in the game, many people can agree to that.
If you own the Apple M1 or M2 Macs, you are free to go ahead and give the new Witcher games a try, and be sure to enjoy your playthrough.
