The first GTA 6 trailer will drop in a few days from now on December 5th, Rockstar has announced.
The news was announced through Rockstar's official X account (formerly Twitter) through a rather a post containing only an image. "Trailer 1", the image reads. "Tuesday, December 5, 9 AM ET". We've included the post from the developer below. Interestingly, the image shows what rumors have been suggesting for some time now - a Miami setting.

As covered earlier this month, Rockstar confirmed the arrival of the game's first trailer to celebrate the studio's 25th anniversary. "In 1998, Rockstar Games was founded on the idea that video games could come to be as essential to culture as any other form of entertainment, and we hope that we have created games you love in our efforts to be part of that evolution", Rockstar's Sam Houser said earlier this month.
He added, "We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you."
Many expected Rockstar to reveal the trailer during this year's The Game Awards 2023 event on December 7, but with Rockstar airing the trailer on December 5, it remains to be seen whether we'll see more about the game during the Geoff Keighley-hosted event.
GTA 6 is easily one of the most anticipated games for many players around the world. Details about the game are sparse, but last year, Take-Two Interactive Straus Zelnick said that the game will aim to set a new benchmark for the series, the industry, and all entertainment.
"With development of the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series well underway, the Rockstar Games team is determined to once again set creative benchmarks for the series, our industry, and for all entertainment, just as the label has done with every one of their frontline releases", the CEO said during an earnings call conference back in August of last year.
GTA 6 has yet to receive a release date. We'll update you as soon as more information about the next Grand Theft Auto installment comes in.
