Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Promises High Scalability, Confirms Steam Deck Verified Status

We're one week away from the much-awaited Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC release. Today, developer Square Enix has released a new trailer to showcase the port's high scalability, whether using the Low, Medium, or High presets. In the video, the developer shows the Minimum graphics preset maintaining 30 frames per second while using an Intel Core i3 8100 CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. The Medium preset keeps 60 frames per second on an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 GPU. Lastly, the Ultra preset is also shown at 60 frames per second on an Intel Core i7 10700 CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 GPU.

We also received confirmation that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC is officially Steam Deck Verified at launch.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC will use higher-resolution textures and improved 3D models compared to the PlayStation 5 version. NVIDIA DLSS is also supported, although it sounds like it'll be just Super Resolution with no Frame Generation option. Read our review of the PS5 version here.
