To spice up your holiday, Facebook has updated its app with a bunch of new Halloween posts and camera effects. Not only this, but the company has also added an interactive game on its platform. Facebook Live videos will also receive various custom Halloween effects to make your holiday special. On the other hand, Instagram for iOS is also updated with a new cool feature called ''Superzoom'' which is designed to allow users to record videos that have a dramatic element to it. So let's dive in to see some more details on the new updates.
Facebook And Instagram Updated With Halloween-Themed Filters And More
Apart from the Halloween filters, Facebook's interactive game lets users play as trick or treaters. Users will have to get themselves out of the haunted house using their head to navigate from one side to another. The higher you climb, the more points you will score. You also have the ability to share the score with your friends on Facebook once you're done with the game.
For the text posts, you will see new Halloween colored backgrounds. This means that the update is not only limited to texts and videos. The updated features will roll out today and will remain on the app until October 31st. If you're more of a Messenger user, you will also see some cool new filters and effects for pictures and videos. To increase the interaction of users with the new options, they will be notified through their News Feed.
As for the Superzoom option on Instagram, after opening the camera, the feature can be accessed next to the Boomerang option situated under the record button. Once you tap on the Superzoom option, you will see how the camera creates the dramatic effect with suspenseful music.
You can make a Superzoom of anything -- your selfie, your friend's goofy face or even your half-eaten sandwich. As always, you can send your video to your friends on Instagram Direct or add it to your story.
Other than the Superzoom feature, Instagram also adds five new Halloween themed face filters and Halloween stickers to the table. Both of these will be available through November 1. The face filters can transform you into all kinds of mythical characters such as a zombie, a vampire, ghost and more. That's one cool way of spicing up your holiday. So if you're interested, be sure to check it out.
