Samsung’s unveiling of the Exynos 2400 did not provide sufficient information regarding its capabilities, though a company executive had previously stated that its GPU outperformed the competition. While those claims will be put to the test soon enough, a rumor roundup of Samsung’s flagship SoC sings many praises about it, including its AMD graphics processor being faster than the A17 Pro, among other advantages.
Exynos 2400 is also rumored to sport a thinner die that will result in better heat dissipation
Mass produced on Samsung’s enhanced 4nm process, which not only improves yields but also performance, the Exynos 2400’s rumor roundup shared by Revegnus pits the silicon as a force to be reckoned with. Its Xclipse 940 GPU, made in collaboration with AMD, is apparently faster than the A17 Pro, though, in a previously leaked Geekbench OpenCL benchmark, the Exynos 2400 performed equal to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Samsung’s newest chipset that will power some variants of the Galaxy S24 has also been mass produced using Fan-Out Wafer Level Packaging technology, or FOWLP for short. For those who do not know, FOWLP fabrication allows companies like Samsung to provide a smaller package footprint and improved thermal and electrical performance compared to conventional packages, plus having a higher number of contacts without increasing the die size.

Switching to this technology also allows the Exynos 2400 to have a thinner die, resulting in better thermal performance. Samsung’s foundry has always been criticized for being inferior in power efficiency compared to TSMC, so hearing about these multiple improvements makes us want to see the SoC in action. Then again, we have been hyped up about the Exynos 2200 in the past since its Xclipse 920 GPU was said to obliterate the competition, and we were utterly disappointed with the results later on.
With that being said, treat all of these rumors with a pinch of salt, and we will be back with more updates. With Samsung unveiling the Galaxy S24 lineup in the middle of January next month, it will not be long until we see how accurate these claims are.
