With the latest DLSS Swapper version, there are a lot of improvements introduced, including support for multiple languages for making updating DLSS easier for a lot of gamers across the world.
DLSS Swapper Version 1.2 Brings Presets and Smarter DLL Version Handling With Detailed History
DLSS's creator, Brad Moore, has rolled out the latest version of the popular DLSS update software, which now brings various improvements for gamers. For those unfamiliar with the software, the DLSS Swapper is a tool that lets gamers update their DLSS without using the NVIDIA App, and it's not an official utility by NVIDIA. Through DLSS Swapper, gamers can swap the DLSS .DLL files in their games to either update to newer ones or roll back to older versions without having to manually search for the files.
The latest version 1.2 now offers new features to the tool, including DLSS Presets, which can now be turned on per-game basis or even globally via the settings. As per the release notes, the presets can be found in the Game Picker page and the Global Override. In order to turn the presets on, one has to have a driver profile for that particular game, but if that's missing, this won't work. Also, there is a small update concerning the preset as the DLSS Swapper 1.2 has presets A to E deprecated (not removed), and the preset K is now the standard, which is likely due to offering a much better balance of visual quality and performance.
The next big update is the inclusion of several languages, and now the software supports at least seven different languages such as English (AU, UK, US), Polish, Portuguese BR, Russian, Turkish, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese (Taiwan). This will make its usage easier for millions of gamers around the world, but those who cannot find their language in the list can create their own translations through their dedicated guide.
The next set of changes includes better DLL display and handling. It's not smarter and more convenient for users as the DLL versions will now be displayed more clearly across the app. The DLSS Swapper can now also remove the outdated backups once the tool updates the DLSS to avoid any confusions. Still, users can access their game history page to see the detailed logs of DLL changes. AMD FSR will now use the internal version numbers rather than going with vague version numbers. Like instead of using numbers like "v1.0.1234", the Swapper will now display AMD's internal version like "v3.1.4".
