With the holiday season now in full swing, there's a pretty nice freebie available on the Epic Games Store: Deliver Us Mars. The sci-fi adventure game is a direct sequel to 2018's Deliver Us the Moon, taking place around ten years after the events that unfolded in the original game. Humans are closer than ever to extinction on Earth, and only a daring mission to the Red Planet to recover the ARK colony ships can change the fate of humankind.

Once again developed by Dutch indie studio KeokeN Interactive, Deliver Us Mars launched this February, so it's still a relatively new game. PC gamers have until Thursday, November 30 at 5 PM to add it to their Epic Games Store libraries by heading to this page and 'purchasing' it.

Deliver Us Mars earned a 7.5 score in Wccftech's review written by Francesco De Meo. Here's an excerpt:

Deliver Us Mars is an improvement over its predecessor in pretty much every way, featuring an excellent, more relatable, and personal story and expanded gameplay that fans of the original will enjoy. However, the linearity of the experience, the mundanity of certain puzzles, and the technical issues prevent it from being an unmissable masterpiece.

Deliver Us Mars is the current freebie, but the Epic Games Store is also running its Black Friday sale until November 20. On top of the regular discounts decided by developers and publishers, Epic is also automatically applying a 33% coupon on any game priced at, or combining to, $14.99 or more (after any sale discounts have been applied). This means you can get Alan Wake 2 for $33.49, Cyberpunk 2077 + Phantom Liberty for $37.51, Lords of the Fallen or Hogwarts Legacy for $40.19, RoboCop: Rogue City or Remnant 2 for $33.49, and Final Fantasy VII Remake Integrade for $26.79, just to name a few.

The Epic coupon can't be applied to repurchase, add-ons (DLCs or expansions), and in-game purchases. However, you get a new one every time you make an eligible purchase. Moreover, the usual 5% cashback is bumped to 10% for the duration of the Black Friday sale.
