Colorful has plans to innovate the segment by offering 2x M.2 SSD slots on its next GPU model, giving users the option to mount as many drives as they would like.
Colorful Brings More Practicality Within GPUs By Giving 2x M.2 SSD Slots, Allowing Extensive Connectivity
Well, the Chinese AIB Colorful always has plenty of tricks up its sleeves for customers, and this time, the company is planning to add more M.2 slots to the GPU, a move that consumers would definitely love. Based on a post by ITHome, it seems like a new Colorful variant has been spotted at the Bilibili World 2025 event. While we aren't sure what particular NVIDIA model the GPU is, it is quite clear that the variant will come with two extra SSD slots. Here's what the Colorful variant is expected to look like:
The image shows two M.2 slots situated at the GPU's backplate, and while they do look odd at first, the solution is pretty practical. The variant is reported to be named "iGame Ultra Duo White SSD," and the naming scheme clearly indicates that this GPU will have SSD slots onboard. On paper, the GPU should be functional completely on a PCIe x16 slot, and it will utilize it completely without wasting any lanes, which is simply great and practical. The only downside I see here is that some users might find it troubling that their SSDs mess up the aesthetics of the unit itself.

SSD slots on a GPU are starting to become more frequent, but a 2x M.2 slot is unique. Having additional slots onboard works perfectly in case you are looking to swap out storage drives frequently, and when you combine the number of slots that comes with the motherboard as well, it gives you the room to put in many SSDs in a single build. While we are not certain which NVIDIA GPU the Colorful variant will be based on, our best guess is likely a GPU with PCIe x8 slot utilization, which narrows down to the 60-class models or the RTX 5050.
Official release dates and pricing of the iGame Ultra Duo White SSD variant isn't confirmed for now, but we do await for further details.
