[UPDATE - March 20, 2026] CD Projekt RED has also confirmed that it will release an unannounced project in the coming quarters, seemingly referring to the rumored The Witcher 3 DLC.

[ORIGINAL STORY] The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt RED added 226 developers to its staff in the last 12 months, marking a 24% growth as work on upcoming games like The Witcher 4 and its Cyberpunk 2077 sequel continues to ramp up.

The studio reported its FY2025 earnings today, which included several updates players have been keeping an eye on for years now, like the breakdown of how many developers are on which project at the studio. It's a good insight into how the company is tackling its projects overall, and for a while now, most of the studio has been working on The Witcher 4.

Work on the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 sequel does continue to ramp up, though, and in this report, the studio specifies that its upcoming action RPG codenamed Project Hadar will be the next title that gets a focus.

This is also where we see that the studio grew significantly in the last 12 months, from 707 developers to 933. CD Projekt RED hasn't officially provided any release dates for any of its upcoming projects, but the studio is clearly in a phase where it is adding developers to keep its projects moving forward, to hopefully be ready for The Witcher 4's estimated 2027 release window.

As far as what we can expect sooner than next year, though it has yet to be confirmed, there are plenty of rumors circling that we'll be getting a new DLC expansion for The Witcher 3, which has now sold over 60 million copies according to CD Projekt RED.

Analysts are currently predicting it'll arrive sometime this summer, and now that we're beginning to turn towards spring, hopefully we'll soon be able to stop calling this expansion a 'rumored' DLC and can just call it by name, because CD Projekt RED will have announced it.

Other notable elements of the report include a breakdown of where players are buying CDPR games. For Cyberpunk, most of its sales remain on PC, with 51% of the game's sales coming from PC in 2025. The next biggest contributor is unsurprisingly PS5, followed by Nintendo Switch 2 at 10% and Xbox Series at 9%.

The same is true for The Witcher 3, where 55% of its sales came from PC players last year, 25% on PS5, and then 10% each for Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series. Net profits for the studio grew 34% compared to 2024, driven in part by the studio expanding its reach by adding games like Cyberpunk 2077 to new platforms like Switch 2 and Mac and subscription services like PlayStation Plus.
