Call of Duty Modern Warfare III

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III arrives in a bit over a month, and Activision has provided a first peek at the game’s multiplayer in action. As we’ve heard previously, the game will initially focus on offering remastered versions of all the maps from 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Afghan, Derail, Estate, Favela, Karachi, Highrise, Invasion, Quarry, Rundown, Rust, Scrapyard, Skid Row, Sub Base, Terminal, Underpass, and Wasteland) with new maps coming post-launch.

In addition to the remastered MW2 maps, the trailer features plenty of new skins, weapons, and what looks to be a brief peek at the new Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 map that will be launching shortly after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III arrives. Based on our brief glimpse, the new Warzone map kind of looks like Verdansk, albeit with a variety of new landmarks, including what looks to be a rocket launch pad. Doesn’t look too groundbreaking, but a lot of people still like Verdansk, so may as well give the people what they want.
