Call of Duty: NEXT Showcase is officially underway, and there, people experienced many reveals of features from the upcoming shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The game's Open Beta isn't far away either, officially opening up to players in two days.

Developer Treyarch has confirmed there will be sixteen multiplayer maps at launch. All of the launch maps are small to medium-sized, traditional three-lane maps that have been carefully designed to realize the signature Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 experience. This means fast, energetic combat, along with scenic backdrops, cover, and long-distance passages to ensure that your favorite play style is catered to, whether it's close quarters or long-range sniping, with the focus always on the action. The result is tighter gameplay perfectly suited to the new Omnimovement, which lets players Sprint, Slide, and Dive in any direction at all times.
