ASUS will be hosting its next-gen Z890 motherboard launch event on the 10th of October, the same day as the debut of Intel's Arrow Lake CPUs.

Roughly 10 days ago, ASUS ROG teased a short video on different social media sites, giving us a glimpse of the upcoming 'Intel Next-Gen' motherboards. Today, the company is set to reveal the motherboards for the on 10th October.

ASUS ROG has teased the upcoming announcements at various social outlets including X, Weibo, and Bilibili. These are none other than the Intel Z890 chipset motherboards with the new LGA 1851 socket, which will be compatible with the Arrow Lake CPUs.

From the image, it looks like there are about 8 Z890 motherboards from different series. We can identify the ASUS Prime, different boards under the ROG Strix series, and some from the ROG Maximus series. While we don't know their model names, we already have the list of several Z890 ASUS motherboards that are planned to launch, which were recently revealed through a retailer listing.

Among them is the flagship ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Extreme, which was listed on a retail website for $1,111.87. ASUS usually launches several motherboards under each family and we already know that there is a Maximus Z890 Hero and a Maximus Z890 Apex, apart from the Extreme edition. These are generally the costliest editions from the company, followed by ROG Strix E and F editions. Then we have the Creator ProArt series, the TUF series, and the budget Prime series.

ASUS Z890 motherboards will enable overclocking for unlocked Intel Arrow Lake Desktop CPUs such as Core Ultra 9 285K, Core Ultra 7 265K/KF, and Core Ultra 5 245K/KF models. Not much has been revealed regarding the specs of ASUS Z890 motherboards besides that they will feature the LGA 1851 socket, which will be compatible with the LGA 1700 CPU coolers.

However, as per the latest reports, the hotspot on the Arrow Lake "LGA 1851" Desktop CPUs is shifted towards the north, which we reported about recently. Nonetheless, we are excited to see how much performance difference the Intel Arrow Lake processors will bring to the table compared to the predecessors, and what new features the Z890 motherboards will bring out of the box.
