This might be the thickest RTX 5080 card in existence but it is also the quiestest and the most powerful in the cooling department.

ASUS Silently Releases the GeForce RTX 5080 Noctua OC, Featuring Triple Noctua NF-A12 Fans, 4-Slot Design, and Boost Clock of 2700 MHz

ASUS showcased the GeForce RTX 5080 Noctua OC at Computex this year, and while we had a few details about the card, ASUS has prepared a dedicated page for the product to unveil its detailed specifications. The card is one of the thickest GeForce RTX 5080s on the planet, occupying almost 4 slots on the motherboard. One of the reasons is the 2-slot fan thickness, which in this case is due to the utilization of the NF-A12 120mm fans, known for high airflow.

The card is one of the few GPUs on the market to feature Noctua fans and a custom heatsink that is optimized for higher cooling performance and silent operation. ASUS advertises it as the "quietest" air-cooled GPU in its class with RTX 5080, and this is achieved due to the killer combo of vapor chamber cooling technology and Noctua fans. Of course, the iconic brown color from Noctua is retained for the classic look, but if you are aware of Noctua cooling products, you might already know that Noctua prefers better cooling performance over aesthetics.

The RTX 5080 Noctua OC, therefore, does not bring the highest clocks out of the box and remains fairly in between the base and premium models. The boost clock is 2700 MHz, which can overclock to 2730 MHz in the OC mode. This is around 100 MHz higher than the boost clock on the Founders Edition, but of course, higher clocks can be unlocked via manual overclocking.

As far as the design is concerned, ASUS has deployed the Phase-change GPU thermal pad on the card, and the heatsink is itself large enough to expand the GPU's length to a whopping 385mm. This is 81mm longer than the Founders Edition, and the width has also been increased by 14mm, which makes it too big to fit inside compact mid-towers. If compatibility isn't an issue, then it should be an ideal choice for enthusiasts who want silent operation at higher loads, but we don't know how it will compare against other RTX 5080 editions in terms of noise levels.

At the moment, there isn't a word on the word or availability, but expect the GPU to be launched soon.
